You’re not crazy– it really is your hormones!
I’ve been running a health experiment of sorts on myself. You see, up until last week, I had been leading a really unhealthy lifestyle (lack of exercise and eating unhealthy food as a rule). I would try to change but felt so much inner struggle to do so. So I started working on the emotional part of weight loss (trying to figure out why I do what I do) and came up resolving issues but still not able to “stick” to anything that resembled health. I have also been concentrating on my appearance. I’ve been in search of eye cream for under the eye bags and found some at www.undereyecream.net. It has been working beautifully.
And then last week… I had my “AHA!” moment. Since then, i’ve been eating very healthy (ignoring all fast food) and staying away from any kind of diet pop (and pop in general). And BAM! I started to feel better. I can’t put my finger on it exactly, but I felt my body respond positively to the changes.
It occurred to me that the hormone balance began to change slowly in my body. Our hormones are delicately balanced and having imbalanced hormones can cause everything from depression, to mood swings, insomnia, dry skin, foggy thinking, tiredness and weight gain.
This just reminds me that there are so many GOOD reasons to concentrate on getting healthy. I feel good when I eat the right foods and drink enough fluid. When I add exercise to that, I feel GREAT about myself and the world around me. It’s so interesting how a food addiction can trick your body into thinking it needs lots of carbohydrates and tricks your mind into thinking that you need to eat in order to cope.
