My first award! I am honored to receive it!

I’m a stay at home mom and a small business owner.  Much of my life at the moment is lived at home and because of the business I am online an insane amount of time.   So I decided to start a blog of my own chronicling my journey.  My goal with this blog is simple;  I want to recall every moment of this journey and hold myself accountable so that I can be the winning team. :)

I am so very honored that Bobbie over at Anonymous Fat Girl, has passed this award on to me.  And really, I recommend her blog to anyone who is starting a fitness journey or those already on their way to better shape and good health.  Read it.  It is fantastic.  She is someone who quickly became a favorite blogger of mine.  Her posts are so well-written and inspirational.  She has a series of videos that feature different parts of her journey; from workout tips to reader-questions.  She is a kindred spirit for sure!  She is very cool and very inspiring and just love her! :)

Okay so here is how this works:  Copy the image above and display it on your blog, list 10 things that make you happy, try to do one of those things today and then pass the award on to 10 bloggers who brighten your day.

10 Things that make me happy:

  • Hugs from my kids
  • A date night with my husband
  • A new piece of design or web-related software (open source rocks)
  • Books!  Delving into the world of a good book is sheer happiness!
  • Music.   Finding new music and listening to old music is soothing for me.
  • Puppies!  Oh my goodness…. give me a cute little furry puppy any day.  I love dogs!
  • A gorgeous spring day when the windows are open and there is a great cross-breeze and I can just relax.
  • New pajamas.  Fancy-Schmancy PJs make the woman ;)
  • A good movie.
  • Bike riding.  Nothing better than a good bike ride.

Now, I just want to say, that when I started this blog, I scoured the internet looking for inspirational weight loss blogs.  I wanted to find good blogs.  The kind where the bloggers were fully invested in their weight loss journeys and fitness goals.  Whether their goal was to motivate themselves, or others didn’t matter to me.  I wanted it all.  I was thirsty for inspiration.  To my delight, I found inspiration by the buckets full.  Not only have these blogs been inspirational, they have also quickly become my support community.  We are all rooting for one another.  Words cannot express how that kind of support fuels the fire to my own journey!

The ten blogs I mention are ones that I visit *every. single. day.*  (in no particular order)

1.  1940’s Experiment ~ Carolyn’s story is so inspirational!  It is a delight to see her successes!

2.  Amy’s Quest to Skinny ~  Amy is a fitness guru.  For real.

3.  Endurance isn’t only physical ~ Tricia talks about fitness and life in a way that just makes sense.

4.  Escape from Obesity ~ 60 pounds gone and on the road to good health!  She is inspiring and very real.

5.  Fit to the Finish ~  I can relate to Diane.  She posts memories about what it was like being 309 pounds. I find that my struggles were and are very similar to hers.  I really love reading her blog daily.  She inspires me because she is living proof that you can lose weight and get your body back even if you are over 300 pounds. :)

6.  Julie Lost and Found ~ Julie is full of determination, light and energy!

7.  Primal Stride ~ Seth Simonds is a master motivator!  He posts about his own journey, video blogs and issues challenges to his readers!

8.  Shedding the Fat Suit ~ Liz describes herself as a serial dieter.  Her blog is fantastic and she is definitely inspirational!

9.  Smaller Fun Pants ~  This was one of my very first favorite health and fitness blogs.  She is fantastic! :)

10.  Anonymous Fat Girl ~  Last but certainly not least, I would like to give this to Bobbie.  Her inspirational posts and videos have helped inspire me on days where I felt uninspired!  Thank you for the extra motivation Bobbie and thank you so much for this award! :)

  • Oh my gosh! :) Thank you so much for the award! That is so sweet and I feel the same way you do – we’re all in this together. And when the world feels like we can’t find any support, it’s nice to realize that there are some people who simply *get* you.

Thanks for this. Really. It completely made my day. :)
