Reach higher… Push harder
I am doing this journey at a very comfortable pace. So far, I have been flying under the radar — so to speak. And while the journey remains challenging, one thing that hit me is that it is getting a bit repetitive. Something inside of me is ready to bust out!
In my mind’s eye, I can see myself doing all kinds of things that I have never done before. I want to try boxing, hip hop dance, and spin. And in the business realm, I plan on submitting my sites to www.paidwebdirectories.org in hopes that I can attract different kinds of clients.
One of my goals for March is going to be to try something new in the fitness realm. I want to shake things up a bit. And then when spring comes, I am going to start training for a bike marathon. I will be signing up for one that starts on November 6, 2010 — called “The Iceman Cometh”. Registration is March 1st. It is a 27 mile bike ride from Kalkaska to Traverse City. I am SO excited! I am giving myself Spring, Summer and some of fall to train! I feel that I should be ready by then!
What are your fitness goals this year? Are you to the point where you feel like busting out of your comfort zone? Or have you already bust out of your comfort zone?

I am looking for a 5K to enter! That is definitely out of my comfort zone!
Good for you and the bike marathon! That sounds amazing.

I want to run. I used to be a runner (25 years or so ago) and I loved it. I miss it. Right now I can’t run. My knees can’t take it until I get some more of this weight off. But soon…
The other thing is that I plan to do the Susan Komen 3-Day walk in October (the one for breast cancer). 60 miles in 3 days…. that’s bustin a new move for me for sure!

Good for you! I am trying to exercise more, work harder, and add some new stuff. Since January I have added yoga and pilates, very much not my thing. And last week I started intervals of jogging on our new treadmill. Again, sooo not me. I am going to wear my heart rate monitor when I do that and when I cycle to try to work at a higher level. The name of that ride makes it sound chilly!

My fitness goals are scary for me.
I’ve run several 5K’s but now I’m going to run a 7K in March (I am arleady signed up) and a 10K in May. I do want to do a half marathon by the end of the year but sometimes I wonder if I can actually do it.
I also wanted to try at least one new sport this year and I did – snowshoeing.
